Pharmacy & Prescription Policy
This Pharmacy & Prescription Policy applies to prescription products offered by Welm Health LLC. Last Updated: June 14, 2026. Prescription products may be fulfilled through one or more licensed pharmacy partners.
1. Compounded Medications — Important Notice
Certain medications dispensed through Welm, including semaglutide and tirzepatide formulations, are compounded drug products. Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not evaluate compounded products for safety, effectiveness, or quality in the same manner as FDA-approved drugs. Patients are encouraged to discuss the risks, benefits, and appropriateness of any compounded medication with their Provider before use. Prescriptions are issued only pursuant to a valid clinical evaluation by a licensed Provider.
2. Temperature-Sensitive Shipping
GLP-1 injectable medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide formulations, are temperature-sensitive and must be maintained within specified temperature ranges to remain safe and effective. The dispensing pharmacy ships temperature-sensitive medications with appropriate cold chain packaging; however, Welm cannot guarantee conditions during transit once a shipment is in the possession of a third-party carrier.
Upon receipt of your shipment, you should:
- Inspect the outer packaging and any included temperature indicators before opening.
- Refrigerate temperature-sensitive medications promptly upon receipt.
- Do not use any medication that has been visibly damaged, exposed to extreme heat, or shows signs of temperature compromise.
- Contact support@welmhealth.com immediately if you believe your shipment was temperature-compromised or damaged in transit.
Welm and the dispensing pharmacy are not liable for medications that have been temperature-compromised due to carrier delays, recipient unavailability, or improper storage after delivery.
3. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments
If your shipment arrives damaged, appears to have been tampered with, or is not delivered by the expected delivery date, please contact support@welmhealth.com within seven (7) days of the expected delivery date. Welm will work with the dispensing pharmacy and the applicable carrier to investigate the issue.
Resolution options may include, at Welm’s discretion:
- Replacement shipment, subject to carrier investigation outcome and medication availability.
- Prorated account credit applied to a future billing cycle.
- Refund of the affected shipment cost where no replacement can be provided.
Welm is not responsible for shipments that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery to the address on file. Patients are responsible for ensuring a secure delivery address. Claims submitted more than seven (7) days after the expected delivery date may not be eligible for resolution.
4. Prescription Transfers
Patients who wish to transfer their prescription to an outside pharmacy may request a transfer by contacting support@welmhealth.com. Transfer eligibility is subject to applicable state law, the prescribing Provider’s discretion, and the outside pharmacy’s ability to fulfill the specific medication. Welm cannot guarantee that compounded formulations dispensed through Welm’s pharmacy partners will be available at outside pharmacies.
Welm does not charge a fee for processing a prescription transfer request. Patients who transfer their prescription to an outside pharmacy remain responsible for any outstanding or upcoming subscription fees under their active Care Protocol. Transferring a prescription does not constitute a cancellation of enrollment.
5. Dosage Changes & New Formulations
Dosage adjustments or changes to your prescribed formulation require a new prescription from your Provider and may require the pharmacy to dispense a new vial, cream, or compound. This may result in additional cost to you. You will be notified and must provide authorization before any cost change is applied to your account.
6. Provider Discretion
Providers may discontinue treatment or prescriptions at any time based on clinical judgment. In such cases, Welm will notify affected patients as promptly as practicable. Patients whose prescriptions are discontinued due to clinical ineligibility may be eligible for a prorated refund of subscription fees collected for periods in which no prescription product has yet shipped, pursuant to the Subscription & Refund Policy. Prescription products are non-refundable once shipped.
7. State-Specific Prescribing Limitations
In Louisiana and Mississippi, GLP-1 medications are not prescribed for obesity as a standalone indication. A qualifying metabolic diagnosis is required. Welm will notify patients during the intake process if state-specific limitations may affect their eligibility.
